Kate Rothery

Visual Artists, Arts Manager, Producer

Kate has been working with Global Grooves and The Vale since 2016 starting with us as a trainee producer and project manager and now manages many of our creative projects and events. She graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2015 with a BA in Textiles and since then, Kate has found a love for Carnival and Community arts. She chose to further this knowledge through participating in Global Grooves’ Future Leaders course in 2015/16 as a Visual Artist. Since then, Kate has worked with the Global Grooves team as part of the Creating Carnival programme as a Producer of the 2016 performance of The Tempest. Kate has continued to work with the team at the Mossley Light Festival and now as a Marketing Intern. She loves to be involved with all things Carnival from behind the scenes to making and hopes to continue to learn more about this art form around the world.
