To celebrate Spring and highlight Mossley’s Goose’s Gander heritage trail we’ll be leading 3 walks to and from The Vale and Mossley Heritage Centre. This is all part of Spring Up! a day full of activities and highlighting the heritage of these two Mossley mills.

Phantasmagoria will be creating 9 geese from upcycled materials to parade up and down the trail on the 6th April.

We’re looking for individuals or families to participate as ‘goose guardians’ so we can ensure the gaggle of geese get up and down in the parades and don’t wander astray.

Did you know the inspiration for the trail was the geese who guarded the farm at Bottoms Fold? They’d hiss at anyone trying to pinch an apple from the farmstead. Don’t worry, these geese will be far less tetchy!
