Ellesse Young studies Textiles in Practice at Huddersfield University where she is developing a variety of different skills which benefit her passion for textiles art. Having been involved in various projects for Global Grooves and Cabasa Carnival Arts she has learnt a range of artistic skills and found a love for working within a community. As well as community work, Ellesse’s joy for travelling influences her work as an artist.
As a textiles student at Huddersfield University, I am always looking for new artistic projects to be involved in which will expand my knowledge of the industry. I have always had a love for art and couldn’t see myself taking any other career route. For me, working within a community to create artwork brings me more happiness than doing it myself. The arts are enjoyed globally and I love experiencing new and different forms of art from cultures around the world.
