THE VALE LIVE presents a dynamic lineup of acts from across the globe, broadcasting from our virtual venue, live to your living room!
Kicking off on 24th April, The Vale Live will bring you wonderful talent every Wednesday and Friday from our favourite artists in isolation. No need to move from the couch (unless you’re going to get your dancing shoes), you can catch each gig LIVE on our Facebook page. You can also catch all of the livestreams on our feed after the event if you miss it or want to watch it over again!
We’re proud to host the return of Ugandan multi-instrumentalist Seby Ntege. Seby played a sold out show at The Vale back in 2018 and we’re thrilled to have him back alongside his guitarist Ben Avison for a virtual evening of spectacular entertainment.
Seby Ntege is a singer songwriter from the Busoga region of eastern Uganda, renowned for producing some of the best multi-instrumentalists in the country. Seby himself is a master of several folk instruments from his country including akogo thumb piano, endongo lyre, adungu harp, percussion and endingidi (a one stringed fiddle).
Seby Ntege & Band launched their debut album at Mwalimu Express (Rich Mix) on 15th April and the band is preparing for tours in both the UK and Uganda (see www.sebyntege.co.uk for more info).
One of the tracks from the debut album ‘Five Notes’ was selected by BBC Radio 3 as ‘BBC Introducing song of the week’ and the band have recently performed live on Resonance FM and BBC London. The band’s danceable sound is a musical marriage between Uganda, the UK and West Africa – ‘Ugandan afro/soul.’
