The VALE LIVE: Leon the Pig Farmer

THE VALE LIVE presents a dynamic lineup of acts from across the globe, broadcasting from our virtual venue, live to your living room!

Kicking off on 24th April, The Vale Live will bring you wonderful talent every Wednesday and Friday from our favourite artists in isolation. No need to move from the couch (unless you’re going to get your dancing shoes), you can catch each gig LIVE on our Facebook page. You can also catch all of the live streams on our feed after the event if you miss it or want to watch it over again!

THE VALE LIVE is proud to present Leon the Pig Farmer as he takes you a journey with his  performance poetry live from the comfort of your couch.

Leon is the alter ego of Jack, a Yorkshire lad who joined the army aged 17. Now over 30 years later he recently suffered a breakdown due to PTSD. He found walking the hills near his home on Saddleworth Moor words filling his head, he started writing them down and later was encouraged to share with others.
Jack strongly believes that this has helped him in his journey of recovery and wants to share his experiences of coping with PTSD through performing his work.

Click here to catch Leon’s show Wednesday 29th April at 7pm through The Vale Live on Facebook. Make sure you click attending to the event and you’ll get a notification when the time is right for Leon to go live!

The Vale is an innovative and creative arts resource for the whole community and the home of The Vale Live producers Global Grooves – Manchester, as well as a host of other incredible arts organisations.
