A new six-week course that will give you the skills you need to begin a creative career.

**We have a handful of places left for the next course starting Monday, March 7th for 6 weeks**

What will the sessions cover?

By the end of the 6 weeks you will have up-cycled a piece of furniture to your own unique design. In the first 3 weeks you’ll develop the skills and different techniques you need on smaller projects such as outdoor pots which will mean you’re confident and skilled up :). Then from week 4 you’ll apply these skills  and knowledge to pre-loved furniture to create a unique piece. Your experienced tutor will guide you through each stage so that you feel confident and able to take the skills away to use independently.

You’ll meet a group of like-minded people, and you’ll have volunteer opportunities at The Vale to widen your experience if you’d like to  contribute to exciting  live projects delivered from The Vale.

Where and when?

All sessions will take place at The Vale. OL5 9JL

The first practical session for this course is Monday March 7th at 10am – 2pm.

The course will run every Monday for 6 weeks with the final session taking place on April 11th.

Can I join?

 This course is designed to give you the training you need to get back into employment and offer support to anyone struggling from the effects of unemployment.

 This course has been generously funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). To take part, you must be

• Over 16
• Unemployed or economically inactive
• Greater Manchester resident

We’re particularly interested in hearing from participants who are over 50, retired and economically inactive*

*By economically inactive we mean someone who is retired or not currently earning from working, and may not be claiming benefits. It excludes those registered self-employed or students
